The recent Texas Constitution Election was easily won by the big money, bankers, Christian Fundamentalists and developers. Did you really expect anything else?

This is the problem with living in Travis County, Texas (Austin), we’ve developed a ‘New York City attitude’ that we are not only “The Live Music Capital Of The World” - which is also bullshit – (we do have a lot of great and various types of music, but we think we are the center of the Known Universe – great bumper sticker – but that’s it!), but we are no longer able to be “INCLUSIVE”, as we have used as a mantra for years.

The Austin American-Statesman reported today that:

‘Chief Justice Wallace B. Jefferson, asked to name a trial judge for the DeLay cas
e, shared the same campaign treasurer and consultant as DeLay's Texans for a Republican Majority. One of his largest campaign donations — $25,000 — was from the arm of the Republican National Committee that's at the center of the allegation that DeLay and his co-defendants laundered corporate money into political donations in 2002.’

Travis County Parks Commission, says that if the bond measure passes, the county plans to acquire Reimers Ranch.

Three U.S. Marines, one Army soldier and several other Americans were killed in attacks this week, the U.S. Military said in statements, pushing the total number of U.S. military deaths to 2,000, since the start of the Iraq war.

Four U.S. contractors were killed last month when their convoy took a wrong turn, drove into a town north of Baghdad and was attacked by an angry mob, a Senior U.S. military official said. There was no explanation for why the military did not report the deaths earlier.

EX-HOUSE LEADER TOM DeLAY IS BOOKED & FINGERPRINTED IN HOMETOWN: HOUSTON , TEXAS

U.S. Rep. Tom DeLay, R-Sugar Land, sidestepped the news media Thursday to be booked in Houston during the noon hour, according to his lawyer Dick DeGuerin.

DeGuerin said DeLay, who's to appear in Travis County court on Friday, was treated routinely. He was photographed, fingerprinted and released on $10,000 bond. He stated that he plans to use his smiling "Mug Shot" on his families' Christmas Card.
