REDNECK RIVIERA TAKES IT AGAIN

FIRST SHARKS, NOW HURRICANES! The "Redneck Riviera", the beaches along the Gulf of Mexico from Mississippi to Florida, is about to get hit bad by hurricane "Dennis", a category 4 - 155 mph son-of-a-bitch. Folks from Destin, Fla. to Gulf Shores, Alabama are hauling ass north, and that's not easy for a lot of good ole southern country boys who still remember another war! We wish them the best. Pensacola Beach or Ft. Walton Beach look like ground zero. Reporters are calling "Dennis" a killer hurricane in their attempts to 'out report' each other. Our diversions from the "politics" of life seem unending! Every disaster, natural or man made, overwhems the populace (us) with information, much of it repeatitive or unnecessary, so we are forced to set aside our other concerns, G8, LIVE 8, IRAQ, London bombings, Bush/bin Laden Family connections, starving people, etc. Last night, Levon Helm and friends, were on a hour long special on the history of "The Band". Amazing! Three young folks were interviewed on CNN a while ago as the hurricane approached, they had decided to hang in there and stay. They appeared to have seen Levon, last night. adios, hippie
